Dr. Taiwo Olayinka Afolabi

He graduated from the University of Lagos, Nigeria with a law degree. He is a seasoned businessman and investor with diverse interests in various sectors of the economy.

With a about three decades experience as an entrepreneur, he has successfully built the Sifax Group brand from a small freight forwarding firm to a group of companies that have investment in Maritime, Aviation, Haulage & Logistics, Oil & Gas, Hospitality, among others. Sifax Group, under his watch, currently has presence and investment in almost all the continents of the world.

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Financial Management and Institute of Freight Forwarders of Nigeria. He is also a recipient of the national award, Member of the Niger (MON).



Professor Idowu Sobowale

A well respected academic both in and outside Nigeria, Prof. Sobowale has published many books, presented over seven papers at various conferences, authored more than a dozen chapters of different academic books and wrote over 30 articles in various journals both in Nigeria and internationally.

He was MD/CEO, Prime People Magazine, Publisher, Searchlight Newspaper, MD/Editor-in-Chief, Republic Newspaper Limited and Chief Consultant/CEO, Idosa Consult.

In the public sector, he was a Special Adviser on Education and Commissioner of Education in Lagos State, Nigeria.


Adekunle AbdulRazaq Oyinloye- Group Managing Director

Mr. Adekunle AbdulRazaq Oyinloye is the Group Managing Director of SIFAX Group. He is the immediate past Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of The Infrastructure Bank.

Oyinloye, a graduate of Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, also possesses post-graduate degrees - M.Sc, Economics (University of Lagos), M.Sc, Banking & Finance (University of Ibadan) as well as the Strategic Management Certificate from the Columbia Business School, Columbia University, New York.

He has held senior management positions in major financial institutions in Nigeria, including The Infrastructure Bank Plc, Unity Bank Plc and Pacific Bank.

In his last assignment as the Managing Director of The Infrastructure Bank, Oyinloye led a team of young enthusiastic professional to achieve a major turnaround for the bank by recording profitable operations within two years, which is a major first in the bank’s twenty years of existence. His core areas of expertise include strategic planning, policy & procedure development, team building & performance improvement, finance, budgeting & cost management, among others.

Oyinloye has been privileged to serve on the board of several organisations which include Africa InfraFund Plus, International Aviation College, Kwara, Echostones Nigeria Limited, Prime Plus Estate Services Limited, Unity Bank Plc, UnityKapital Assurance Plc (now known as Veritas Assurance Plc),  and he is also a fellow of institutions such as Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Marketing Nigeria, Institute of Credit Administration, Institute of Direct Marketing and a member of the Institute of Directors.


Mariam Afolabi, Group Executive Director, Compliance

Mariam Afolabi is the Group Executive Director, Compliance. Afolabi, a Solicitor and Advocate of the Nigerian Supreme Court, is a graduate of Law from the University of Warwick, Coventry, England and also obtained a Post Graduate degree (LLM with distinction) in International Maritime Law from the IMO International Maritime Law Institute, Malta.

Her tutelage and professional experience spanned various tested legal firms, maritime and aviation companies like Kayode Sofola & Co, Wole Olanipekun & Co, Kunle Ogunba & Co, Aluko & Oyebode, Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc, SIFAX Shipping Company Limited and Nigerian Maritime Administration Safety Agency (NIMASA).


Tobi Afolabi, Executive Director, Planning, Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited

Tobi Afolabi, a graduate of Business Marketing from the University of Ottawa, Canada, is the Executive Director, Planning, Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Maritime Management from the Southampton Solent University, United Kingdom.

Tobi’s professional tutelage started in the Operations department of Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited where he learnt the basics of container terminal operations. He has also worked with the commercial department of SIFAX Shipping Company Limited where his responsibilities included agency formalities, prospects profiling and exchanging sales leads.  He is also versed in commodity export, trade lanes as well as special handling of goods such as cocoa and liquor.
